Daddy called ard 4pm yesterday to say that he is done with his work at the office. We read in the newspaper some time ago that there's a new night market in malacca. So, off we go. Mummy, daddy and i, the 3 of us to malacca! So last minute! Grabbed my portable vcd player, magazine, jacket and we're all set. Very used to this kinda impromptu trip cos daddy used to do it often when i was in pri and sec school. Sometimes to genting, kl, cameron highlands or even kuantan.
I get to drive from the malaysia custom all the way to the pagoh r&r station which is abt 230km i think. Its my 2nd time driving in malaysia. Most of the cars were zooming past me even though i was already going at an average of 120km/hr. Scary.. It was getting darker and parts of the highway didn't have any light. So exciting yet so so stressful! The drive was so long that my feet turned a little numb. Daddy finished up the last half and hour or so of the journey and it was already 8.30pm when we reached malacca.
The nightmarket resembles those in bangkok but it was still fun to walk around. Tasted the very famous chendol with yummy gula melaka, assam laksa and some light snacks that we bought from the night market. Then its another 3 hour ride back to singapore. Should've stayed a night there but there's amy's wedding today to attend. We're so bo liao right?
Crazy parents, crazy me! hahaha..
