Auntie Alicia and me :)
This is a little outdated but yes, i went to bangkok at the beginning of this mth. Main aim of the trip was to shop and eat till we drop. I'm proud to announce that we've accomplised our mission and went home with 4 luggages full of clothes, shoes, earings blah blah and even a whole cardboard box filled with food.
Had alot of fun bargaining. One impt tip when shopping in bangkok, learn to speak some simple thai language. Prices can shoot a few times higher if they know you're a tourist.
But still:
me:"ni tao lai?" ( which means how much is this)
salesgirl: rattle off a long list of thai words
me: (nod nod nod and looking like i totally understand her) "oh! hmm.. sorry how much is this again?"
Loy Krathong festival was amazing and the night view was fantastic at the chao phraya river. It also happened to be the gay parade week and also elle fashion week( free swensen's ice cream!) which was held directly opp my hotel. Seriously hate walking next to those models, i felt so short. Oh yes yes! Impt thing to mention: Bangkok is not only the shopping paradise but its also a city filled with so many eye candies! hahaha.. But there are also alot of guys there with an identity crisis. you know what i mean.. hahaha..
Had alot of fun there. Ate alot, shopped alot and laughed alot.
A perfect ending to the whole trip was watching Rain's interview on the plane back! Ahh.. i totally love Rain!
